La Gaceta de Tucumán opts for convergence to improve its profitability and productivity

ProtecThe Argentinian newspaper La Gaceta de Tucumán has entrusted Protec with modernising both its editorial and advertising solutions. In this way, it has moved closer to its goal of achieving a convergent newsroom, opening the door towards what is undoubtedly now the norm in the media world.

Using the solutions provided by MILENIUM Cross Media, La Gaceta de Tucumán’s aim is the total integration of all departments involved in the creation of the newspaper, so that the interconnection between them is constant, thus creating a series of synergies that will allow it to make the most of its resources and the editorial workflows. This includes the digital edition, which will interact fully with the print edition. The net result will be improved quality in the generation of contents and different editorial products.

This technological advance also means improvements to the area of advertising, which, once again, means convergence through integration between this area and the newsroom. This allows a significant saving of both time and resources, since all processes are greatly simplified. In addition, an improved functioning of the per-word ads automatisms is achieved in both the print and digital editions, particularly with respect to creation and subsequent publication.

La Gaceta de Tucumán is the leading newspaper in the Argentinean province of Tucumán, being the benchmark for all local news. However, it does not focus solely on local news: national and international news, sport and culture are also covered in depth.
